Masks are a placebo to give people some confidence to get back to life again, but they've been seized on as a way to effectively fight this. The initial advice that they made next to no difference was honest, any benefit is marginal.
As to being told to wear one mid sip, I mean FFS. Think about it, if you really and honestly do need to do that, why would you pay thousands of pounds to put yourself in that position at all? What % benefit is this achieving?
