Maybe things will get better, as the Dolan Fire is 90% contained. Air is also an issue for some areas getting to Big Sur.

depressing, Carmel highlands over 200 (have a stay there for 2 nights prior to Ventana), San Luis Obisbo same (staying there to break up the drive from LA), and Big Sur climbed to 188 since my prior post .

of course, we are still safe and my heart goes out to those impacted, these issues are tiny in comparison. as someone who had to evacuate the last two years in fire season, I’ll be grateful if all I have to do is cancel.

We were originally going to go in November, but we thought it would be too cool to dine outside, swim etc. Anyone with experience with Big Sur weather in November?
