Disappointing first stay since 2018

I feel the hotel has lost something along the way since 2013. Former GM being replaced by successive bean counters and, now, an aging property. A lot of familiar faces moved on to new Busan properties like Lotte Signiel Busan or the Grand Chosun.

The room

Our 1805 Park Executive Marina view suite has seen better days. The vanity was cracked on the circular part, stains on the bedroom wood and living area HVAC buttons were almost useless. Been pressed one too many times and stayed stuck. I used a TSU to get this shoddy suite on a Prive booking and that was quite disappointing. I thought they would just give it to a returning guest with many stays at the hotel.

They fulfilled the terms of the Prive stay with our choice of sparkling wine and a traditional Korean snack.

The Dining Room has become, basically, another hotel steak house. I liked when they were doing fresh sushi and some Korean things as well. This probably has to do with lingering anti-Japanese sentiment and changes in executive chefs.

I couldn't believe the portion sizes at breakfast. They were child sized and big eaters would need to double up via multiple orders.

Room service breakfast (paid) was excellent. The Korean galbi beef rib dinner wasn't.

COVID19 situation
This was disappointing to see. At breakfast, guests were put all together in a closed dining space with no tables left empty. They should be spacing them out in the Dining Room or allowing room service breakfast like some other PHs.

Also, they seemed to cluster the guests rooms together. Not sure, if this was meant to make reduced housekeeping easier but all rooms were occupied next to us on a non-peak weekday. The elevators were always busy. Maybe one was offline because right side only ever came.
