Does this route get the more elaborate new style catering that was introduced on the Atlantic routes a while ago?

3) What will the lines at Customs & Immigration in YVR be like at 10.00am on a Saturday? I'd like to have some idea of what sort of time to advise my friend who is picking me up to get there - I know the last time I went through YVR the line-ups were pretty crazy.

4) Is the YVR Arrivals lounge worth a peek? If so, where is it - before or after security? I couldn't find any info about it on the AC or YVR airport websites...

Thanks in advance!
I can only comment on the HNL-YVR portion, as I fly that quite often.

J class service will be more like domestic on this portion, as it is considered Transborder at this point. You'll get a standard domestic breakfast. Nothin fancy.

The JAL lounge will be open if you are on the 9pm flight, but I don't think it will be if it is the 1 am flight.

Customs and immigration has gotten much better in the last couple years. Since you a business Class, you'll be at the front of the Customs line. However no matter where I am sitting, I typically get through before my bags show up at the other end anyway.

If you have someone picking you up, skip the arrival lounge. Nice, if you have a layover and you want a shower, but not worth holding up your ride.
