Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked - King city view with sofa
Received - King Superior with sea view balcony (2 level upgrade)

How are the rooms?
Ok. Good but dated. Could be so much better. They have everything you need and it all seemed to work. The balcony was really nice and had a great view over the pool and sea. Air-con worked well and water pressure in bathroom was great. It had a safe and a mini-fridge with complimentary water. Toiletries, although reasonably nice, were wall mounted style. No over head shower, just shower over bath with riser bar. Low (ish) ceiling meant it was not the best shower, although ok. Toilet paper was really cheap. Bed comfortable.

How is the exec. lounge?
Not sure was not offered access, not sure it was open or if they even had one.

What was good and what was bad?
Good:

• Double upgrade
• Good spire recognition. Welcome points or drink offered. Drink selected got welcome points too.
• Late check out 4pm agreed without fuss.
• Good location on sea front.
• Nice pool, with lots of sun loungers. Comp towels provided.
• Private section of beach. Not used but looked ok.
• Modern communal areas
• Staff friendly and provided good service

Bad:

• Breakfast was poor. Served buffet with eggs to order. Only eggs were nice. Everything else (particularly hot items) were not good. I suppose the croissants were ok.
• Room felt dated, although everything was present and worked, it needs a re-vamp.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

22,500 points per night room only. Breakfast €20 each although offered special rate of €20 for 2 people if we booked at check in. Yes I would return if the price was right. It was more than acceptable, just not great.
