From Chicago to SFO you could get 3 RTs in 23 hours.
I met a guy who flew nonstop for about 72 hours and got 2-year EXP status by about Jan 6.
A ton of us were doing this. I stretched it out until about Jan 22. Bought a one-month Admiral’s Club pass and used it 21 times. Plus guested in a bunch of people.
Presumably WN would cancel all such plans.
I did my segment run back in the 90s. America West did a promo - do 4 RTs, get 1 free. Did my qualifying trips flying Prescott to Phoenix RT 8 times over 3 days. Got 2 RTs that I used for trans cons. Qualifying trips were about $19 each way (maybe even $19 RT, I forget). Maybe not as good a value as some of you pros get, but it was a unique experience for me and I had fun. The flight crew sure thought I was weird (not necessarily an incorrect characterization)!
