I grew up in the shadow of MSP and flew on what I want to say were DC-9s MSP-MDW quite a bit in the late 1980's. To this day the only 747 I've ever been in was at MSP where we had a school field trip in I think '89 or '90. I think I was the only kid in class at that time that had actually flown on a plane. My son is amazed when I tell him I used to take the city bus to the main terminal, go through security and watch for an hour or two from the observation deck.
