FFC can be used to book any ticket bookable on by united -- including partner tickets

Trying to drop a segment and get ETC is risky, likely not to have the desired outcome and not a go route to proceed.

The Online FFC rebooking tool is flaky and many times you can get better rebookings via a phone agent -- many of which will not be offered online.
Thanks for the quick reply... So for a bit of further context and complications to this booking here is a timeline...

Dec 2019 - Round Trip to Hawaii was booked
Apr 2020 - Due to COVID, decided not to go to Hawaii and completed a voluntary rebooking for a OW from AKL to YYC for October 2020
Sep 2020 - United involuntarily cancelled the flight and notified me of the FFC

The problem about the cash refund here is that I no longer have the credit card which the purchased was made... I can confirm that I can book the partner flights (Air Canada, not code share) on United.com if I paying cash.

I will try to call in - the IM support indicated it had to be codeshare per the CoC, but I have my doubts on that one.
