There is a link to the fare rules in the email that you get if you put a reservation on hold.

You can get historical fares on EF.

The full fare basis code is available if you do bring up the fare rules at booking, or through the link in the reservation on hold email. You can also get it by requesting a receipt on the AA prefunds page.
