Stayed at the WA Las Vegas this weekend (a good deal for Hilton points on a weekend in September, figured this wasn't going to happen often, and I've never stayed in a Mandarin Oriental, this was as close as I would get).
You can see little spots of aging (places where buttons in the room have type worn off) so it makes sense that they will refurbish it soon. It's still a pretty fantastic room. Got a strip view, no comp upgrades available for me as a newly-minted Hilton credit card Diamond (I would have been charged $150, I passed). One bonus for staying in Vegas is now in room minibars have no stuff in them, so EVERYONE gets a refrigerator gratis. I got the $25 comp that can be used at Skybar for a drink or for some breakfast items (I got a smoothie, pain au chocolat and apple turnover for $23 and change while sitting at their pool for breakfast), but you have to actually ask the front desk to waive charges; I saw that it hadn't been waived, texted the manager (who had texted earlier welcoming me) and got the charge removed from my card and an updated folio.
