It would work, but it’s a hassle. Also the $5.60/11.20 TSA fees are fully refundable on SW award tickets if you cancel, and I don’t know about you but I prefer cash in my account rather than SW funny money.

It’s less manual than is used to be, but it still isn’t automatic. Travel funds are locked to the original passenger.
