Right. We knew what the deal was when we took the bumps and would have had no basis for a complaint if things stayed that way. We figured that if AA wanted to pay us $300 each to sit apart for a few hours we could stand it, but that it also couldn't hurt to ask once we were on board. We did, and got to sit together.
