We went again last week, mid-week to escape NJ for a while. It was not crowded at all at the hotel or on the boardwalk.
We booked a suite this time. They have a few 1 bedroom suites, but they have partial ocean views. I believe they put is in a room on the side with the better ocean view. While it was very nice, ocean front is still preferred. The side of the building we were on was on the noisy side. We could hear noise from the loading dock for the hotel next door. We also heard noise from the road 2 blocks from the hotel and the main road through the area. We wanted the suite because it had a small kitchenette.
Restaurants that had outdoor dining normally continued to do so, and the others in the area were doing take out. There was limited indoor dining. We ate at the place next door, outside a few times and got take out a few times.
The hotel gave us a very nice amenity that included hand sanitizer spray, after sun spray, plus some local candies.
There is no housekeeping service, as expected. Towels/trash are left outdoors and picked up and replaced. There is a limit of 4 people in an elevator, but except for once, we always had them to ourselves. Our dog was welcomed and enjoyed his time looking at the ocean and people on the boardwalk.
Ocean City is not our favorite place, but the hotel is ideally situated at the quiet end of the boardwalk and the ocean front rooms are great. That is probably the only reason we went back, and may go back again.
As a note, the hotel changed to a category 5 last year, so I was unable to use any of the free nights I had. We paid, at it was about $250 a night for the suite and around $160 for a standard room. A bit more for ocean front. This is a big change from the rates since they opened and during the season.
