You need the correct upgrade space on the KE flight. In this case same as an award for business. KE is known for releasing very few if any seats for awards.
On top of that, KE isn't even selling F except for JFK and LAX and at this point, it isn't even clear what aircrafts they will be deploying next year if Covid continues out of control, though to be fair, other than on the A380 and select 77Ws, KE offers a pretty decent J product with good privacy except on the aircrafts aforementioned
