I was told by an AA representative on chat, a CK representative on the phone, and then again in the AC, that the CLT-PDX flight only has "refreshments", no meal, for the FC cabin on this 5-1/2 hour flight at dinner time. So, we ended buying the Caesar salad with chicken at the AC to bring on the flight for our dinner. Once in the air, the FA offered a choice of the Havarti Turkey sandwich or fruit & cheese. While the sandwiches / fruit-cheese offering is poor, we would not have bought the salads if we could have gotten confirmation on the sandwiches. Overall, the first class product for this 5-1/2 flight is pathetic. Oh, on top of this, the entertainment streaming was not working. How far has AA fallen!
