I find it a little tedious when they list all the perks with the card. If we are calling about a retention offer, we already know what perks the card comes with. I think they do it to make you feel guilty about asking for anything extra.
There probably are a lot of people who don't use FT and aren't terribly knowledgable about the benefits of their cards. Just as there are people (also non-FTers) who have elite status on an airline and don't know it or what it means.
