You will not be able to book AA codeshares for travel within Europe without there being a flight to/from USA in the journey. e.g. AMS-LHR / LHR-JFK would be ok ,, but not AMS-LHR standalone
The original ticket's departure was Europe. I know that some airlines sometimes sell codeshare flights to destinations they don't usually serve directly, so I thought I might be able to take advantage of that.
