That doesn't make any sense given that the points equivalency is set at 250 (e.g. if you opt out of that in your profile you get 250 points...though about 30% of the time the property gives both, IME) -- sounds like a FDA making it up as he goes, IMO, but you could definately follow up with the property if you wanted (1000 ,let alone 250, points isn't enough for me to spend any time chasing based on how I value points vs. my time, but I know others are more passionate about these things.
