A good amount of upgrades clearing into DL One LAX-JFK (despite no seats showing bookable)....seems like they’re only allowing booking to 50% of the cabin but then at the gate processing upgrades to 75% of the cabin or 7 or so seats empty.
I wasn’t traveling but as reported by my friend who was flying.
I wish they would use this common sense on all wide body flights. I flew on a 763 a back in June from ATL-MCO and the GA would only fill F to 50%. I asked the GA about the 75% rule on wide bodies and he told me that the flight must be marketed as D1 to fill up to 75% and this flight was only marketed as FC so it could only be filled to 50%.
