Platinum


Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?

Yes, very.


Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

Booked king, received king suite, a terrific upgrade.


What measures are in place due to COVID19?

Masks required in public areas. Shields at front desk. Max 2 on elevator. Restaurant closed. Bar closed. No ice buckets in room, some ice machines turned off. Housekeeping by special request, limited.


General occupancy rate during your stay in the COVID19 shutdowns?

Around 50% upon staying in July 2020.


How are the rooms?

Corner suites are 2.5x the size of normal rooms here. Offer a very practical layout with a long hallway, half bath and living room area with wet bar, fridge, microwave, sofa pullout, HDTV in main room. Then separate bedroom with full closet, safe, HDTV and full bath with a nice glass shower. Neither room large, but well designed.


How is the exec. lounge?

N/A


What was good and what was bad?

+ Elegant lobby area

+ Wonderful, well-trained staff

+ As a platinum, can get early check-in & late check-out quite regularly

+ Well-equipped (albeit shoebox-sized) rooms; suites are terrific

+ Love the Neil Young artwork throughout the hotel

- Alas, the terrific Thirty Bar & Lounge remains closed (as of July 2020)

- Needs more sports channels

- Almost all services remain shut down


Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

Paid 17.5K points (vs usual 30K) in the peak of the summer. A very good value.
