I zoom in on any damage and I also take a wider angle view that confirms that it was done in the lot. I also include a shot of the interior showing the mileage and gas level. Same process when I return the car. Archive the video for about a year.
Si, and ensure the agent sees you very deliberately documenting with great thoroughness. Motion to the agent to record the scratches and make the request. It is not only about documenting but also sending a message of mutual professionalism for vehicle condition.
