It depends on where you purchase your ticket. Certain consolidators and tour operators are able to discount the tickets heavily. They purchase the seats from BA (or other airlines) in bulk at a heavy discount over the normal fare. They can then sell these seats at a substantial discount (usually through travel agencies). Sometimes the tickets show a fare which is totally different from the actual fare charged. At other times, these tickets only show the taxes and surcharges. For LHR-DEL if you are in Q class, you most likely have a consolidator fare from Greaves which should actually cost approximately £500 to £600?
