Just finished up a 5 night stay here on points - booked into the standard room and applied a TSU to a Hilltop Ranch Suite which was amazing. We were traveling with a friend (not Globalist) who did the 'stay 4 pay for 3' paid promo and added on a 5th paid night. She paid for a Ranch Suite and was upgraded to Hilltop Ranch Suite to be near us.

This was our second stay at the property in the last few months (our first stay was for a single night in a Vineyard Suite). We preferred this stay for many reasons - first and foremost, we were there Sun-Fri and being there during the week (as opposed to weekend) was heavenly. It felt like we had the place to ourselves! We went on daily hikes/runs on property trails and rarely saw anyone else. Our prior stay by contrast was on a weekend and as you can imagine, it becomes a full fledged family resort on the weekends But during the week, it felt peaceful... so I loved that.

We had two dinners at Valley Kitchen - the first we ordered at the bar and took it down to one of the picnic tables with private fire pit and at our dinner as the sun set. It was magical! The second dinner we had we were seated out by the pool and the food was delicious and service was great. Oh one night we ordered room service for dinner to our suite and sat out on our deck and when it got too cold, came back to the living room.

Other meals we had takeout from the Italian restaurant in the little shopping center by the hotel (the one with Safeway)... one night of takeout from Cafe Rustica in town (which was meh). Had lunch one day at Corkscrew Cafe in Carmel Valley Village which was excellent (but pricey!). Grabbed sandwiches from the local delis on other days for lunch... and of course our free Globalist breakfast daily which was plentiful and always delivered quickly.

We hiked off property a few days - one at Garrapata (coastal route) and another at Garland (right down the street towards Carmel Valley Village). We went wine tasting one afternoon at Joyce Vineyards tasting room which was excellent (and bought some wines so they waived the tasting fees).

What else? All in all it was an incredible stay. Can't say enough good things about the staff and management and would definitely return for a week-day stay in the future when in need of a 'retreat' which it really felt like (and just what the doctor ordered right about now!). We high tailed it out of there on Friday afternoon just when the Labor Day crowds were starting to descend on the property and checked into Ventana Big Sur for 2 nights (which I will review separately on that thread).

I think this property is a real hidden gem in the system - let me know if you have any questions!
