Can somebody help us to understand what is going on? We need to fly back to Manila WAS-MNL. Our usual route due to the fastest time. I called Emirates in August and they told be Dubai -Manila leg will resume in September and currently unbookable (?). Later in the month, I heard people are taking Manila-Dubai flights several times. Here September comes and I am looking for flights, I can only find flights that cost $3-4,000 on kayak or google flights for full fair from WAS to MNL. If I look 2 separate legs it's come up to $1,800 (WAS-Dub -$800 and Dub-MNL-1K), WHY? Other flights much longer 40-50 hours vs. 23 or cost as much.
