What is the departure time? If it is within the first few hours of the day, 12a-3a for example, AS often won't see that space. Adding a 1:00 am parameter as a desired departure time into the search usually does the trick. You can ask the AS agent to add the parameter.
I would check to see if the space is also showing on QF and/or BA. QF has been my go to. I can't speak to the reliability of booking what AA shows with MP. The tips & tricks of booking CX premium cabins, Pre COVID-19 and Pre announcement of joining
