Email from Eurostar - Giving you flexibility to change your travel plans

Received an email from them yesterday. E-vouchers now available for travel dates up until 15th November.

The rules are different from those for departures due until 7th September - notably for departutes before 7th Sept you could apply 60 days after your departure date. For departures after 8th September it's midnight the day before. (My departure was for the 14th)

We understand that many passengers are changing their travel plans based on government advice or simply to protect their loved ones at this time. To give you more flexibility, we’re now offering you the opportunity to exchange your ticket for an eVoucher equal to the full value of your booking if you’re due to travel up until 15 November.

Please note that eVoucher requests must be submitted by midnight the day before your outbound travel date. You will not be able to retrospectively claim for an eVoucher after the date of travel.

The eVouchers are valid up to 1 June 2021. Please note that you do not have to travel before the expiry date on your voucher, you simply need to book your new journey before your voucher expires. You can make a booking up to six months in advance on most of our routes, meaning you can travel up until late 2021.

You can find out how you can claim an eVoucher here if you’d prefer to postpone your travel plans.
I applied for mine yesterday. Received email confirmation as follows. Email did not contain the original booking reference but an 8 number 'case reference'. At present my booking hasn't yet been cancelled in my Eurostar account.

During the claim you are asked if you want a voucher for the outbound or inbound portions or both.

Thank you – we’ve received your request for an eVoucher. Your original booking has been cancelled and your eVoucher will be sent to the email address you’ve provided us with in the next 28 days.

We’re getting thousands of calls and emails, so we’d strongly encourage you to only call our contact centre if you’ve not received your eVoucher within this time.

The voucher will be equal to the full value of your original booking. You can use it to re-book at eurostar.com.
