The Americans have every right to be protective of their border but I cannot understand why we do not put in place a reciprocal process. It's almost as if Americans cannot be criminals or something. When a country begins procedures like that, the idea that the UK simply waves through visitors does become irritating. If only to make us feel better when we return from our international travels we *need* to see those "other" queues and lots of questioning!
