They should definitely offer additional benefits. They could start by simply copying Hyatt Globalist benefits, such as waived resort/destination fees, free parking on awards, and a guarantee of a real breakfast. They should also offer enhanced points accrual. (And a program wide revamping of award costs to reflect current market pricing.)
But they won't do any of this. I look forward instead to my next email from David Flueck telling me that due to overwhelming member feedback, they have decided to "enhance" the Ambassador program by directing us to Marriott's regular customer service channels.
