I really don't care what they said or you heard. When they charge a 17% to 20% service charge, AND a $2 or more delivery charge, as many now do, that's it. Anybody wants a tip, or other charge, forget it. It takes a hell of a nerve to automatically add on a gratuity anyway. The decision as to whether or not I'm "grateful" should be mine alone.
Right on ^ I avoid room service just about all the time. Way overpriced and the hotels I frequent don't offer good food for the money.
