You cannot alter the fist international flight (date, flight number or routing) once the ticket has been issued. The only way to change is to cancel the ticket (it is fully refundable if the first flight has not been taken) and book a fresh itinerary. Note that the refund can take 6-8 weeks depending on the airline's refund policy, so you may be out of pocket for a large sum for a period of time.
