Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think there’s as much demand to ski destinations from PDX considering Mt. Hood is an hour from town. Most people around here who travel for ski trips tend to go to either Whistler or Sun Valley, at least in my experience/observation.
Big White & Silver Star within an hour of YLW are popular too. On one of my flights, there were so many skis that some baggage didn't take the flight. Clearing customs without your baggage is not a particularly amusing task.
