not sure how poor housekeeping title relates to what you posted but I would think most items are done in the commercial grade washers and dryers somewhere in the basement or whatnot or outsourced to an outside party. Having said that if it wasn’t in the current climate, you be good with it? I would be more annoyed if i needed to use the machines and all of them are taken over by housekeeping, but not so much what they are washing.
It is poor housekeeping. The housekeeping staff have done this at the hotel in question before. And I complained as they were hogging the washing machines and dryers all the time. Constantly packed with towels and face clothes. The manager said it was due to the main washing machine being out of order. I couldn’t believe it today when I opened the dryer and it was packed with stained old face clothes, which I have seen them cleaning tables and floors with.
