You won't believe what just happened to me at one of the Lexington KY stores just this afternoon. Bought 8 boxes, received the $6 times 2 off the bill. No coupons print out. First ask the checkout girl - she says you get either the immediate $6 OR the $4. No, I explain and show her the ad. She calls the manager who is absolutely clueless. He calls some other person who proceeds to tell me I can only get 1 $4 coupon because there is a limit. Wrong, wrong, wrong. I hadn't even received one $4 even.

I return the cereal with my receipt over at the customer service desk and the boy says I need to see your ID. I said NO, I have my receipt right here. Get ready for this one now.....He says it's the Patriot Act that says he has to see my ID. He also says it is company policy.

I eventually got my refund without showing my ID. Came home and spent 11 minutes with a nice customer service rep at the 800 number. She was flabergasted about all this, particularly the "company" refund policy. She was going to forward this directly to Division Headquarters because this was so outlandish. Gave her all names of the participants in this saga.

Next stop was the wine shop. After that experience, I doubled the order!
