1. The plates, glassware & cutlery are all plastic which I brought for myself and family. Flutes £3, ‘Cut glass’ tumbler £6.50, cutlery/napkin set £0.50 each, plates £0.40 each.
2. the crew served my drinks in my glasses for the duration.
3. they offered to plate up the box of food for me. I plated up for my wife and children.
4. they offered to wash my glasses for me.
5.aircraft was a 777 both ways from LGW
It all started as a bit of a challenge to see if I could get all the bits. Then it became a case of I’m paying £X, BA aren’t providing a proper service so rather than moan or get frustrated I’ll just fix it myself.
worth it? Probably, feels a bit better to have cutlery that doesn’t shatter in my hand! I would definitely do it for future flights too.
Bravo and kudos to you! Would Iove to replicate this next month if we
are forced to fly home on BA.
That cut glass tumbler is very stylish. Do you recall the brand and/or where you bought it? Thanks Phil.
