Awesome trip report - thanks for writing it up. Brought back a lot of memories of my own Turkestan trip - the beautiful scenery, great food, and of course the thoroughly depressing repression of the local people.
On another note, for anyone feeling inspired by this TR to visit KHG, definitely make sure to visit Shipton's Arch - pretty short hike to once of the most spectacular views I've ever seen.
