Anybody currently at the property? The Dolan fire is now just 10mi south of the Ventana, and has reached 8,500 acres. Evacuations have started for the area immediately to the south of Posts.

Didn't even know about this one until a friend mentioned they've started evacuating and closed down a large section of HWY1 (it would now be impossible to reach the Ventana going NB on HWY1 / coming from LA without driving up and around).

As somebody mentioned the air quality can change day by day depending on the winds, but these fires can quickly consume large areas so I'd watch this one if you have an upcoming stay. It is currently 0% contained, burning since Tuesday. This is in addition to the River/Carmel fires which are much larger but mainly pose a air quality issue for the Ventana. We have our stay in mid Sept so hoping for the best.
