We're watching the fires situation closely. We're flying into SFO on 8/29, spend 2 nights in Monterey, then 4 nights in Ventana. I'll decide on 8/27 if we should cancel, only if air quality is very unhealthy.
I live not too near the fires. The air quality has gone from very good last night to dangerous today (almost 200 near sfo ) For the last few days it has been flucuating hourly if not daily. Today 64000 people are being evacuated from their homes. Some may very well need hotels to stay in. Some may not be able to return to their homes (if they're still standing). Not sure I'd want to come here for vacation now.
