you are correct very expensive, however not the most expensive by far some are up and over 200,000! It’s crazy. Conrad use Bumunhgrad hospital which is not cheap and the nurses have to be stationed at the hotel etc. Although bad for those in quarantine that you can use facilities. It is good for regular guests. The gym as external member. You need to book time and slot to use pool or gym. I can’t see how they could make it work letting people out of quarantine safely. Government rules make it very hard. Many other hotels also only have quarantine guests, no regular guests. ASQ = many people making money 🧐😂
I have not seen anybody more expensive than Conrad in Bangkok - I think Conrad is firmly entrenched as the most expensive there. I know Anantara Mai Khao Phuket charges above 200k THB for people coming to quarantine by yacht, but these are private villas (with pools I think) so it's not exactly a fair comparison to Conrad who does not even give a suite for this price. I would pay 200k THB for a villa with pool, but I won't pay this kind of money for Conrad's smallest room.
Yes Bumrungrad is expensive but that's not an excuse: Anantara Siam is also hooked up with Bumrungrad and you can stay there for half the cost of Conrad, and they also have a mix of regular guests and quarantine guests so they found a way to handle it.
