A couple months ago I called a Hampton near SNA in "the OC" (the one on Hotel Terrace) and they were only offering small grab & go bags, so I stayed away.

I was checking reviews on booking.com (Hilton.com doesn't seem to show reviews from the Covid-19 era for any hotel; every time I look at reviews on Hilton.com, they cut off mid-March!), and two different reviews implied that there was a real breakfast now, so I decided to stay there one night (last night). Well, they have big signs by the check-in desk saying "hot breakfast to go, 6 to 8 am ONLY!". (That's about the half the hours they had before Covid-19). It turns out their breakfast is served by a person behind a table wearing gloves, and consists of one hot egg item, one hot meat item, bread/bagels can be toasted, there's cereal and milk and a fruit available, juices in boxes and coffee poured to order. I asked for two of the egg & cheese omelets (I didn't want the Canadian sausage), a bagel with cream cheese, and an orange juice, and everything except the cream cheese and orange juice was put into a big styrofoam type container, to take back to my room. They have one ramp into the breakfast room and have signs asking that you exit the other way out of the breakfast room. I walked by there about 8:20 am on my way to check out, and it was indeed already all closed up.
