Anyone have any luck getting expired flex points reinstated?
We had about 40K expire last week. We had a COVID diagnosis in the family and I completely forgot to transfer them to grocery. We also couldn't go shopping so we couldn't use them. I spent two hours on the phone with Giant customer service today. They said they could do it, but it's too many points, and to instead go to a store and ask.
The phone customer service rep was able to access a detailed history of our transactions, and verified how much/when it expired etc. Isolation period is over now, so I'm able to go in store now. But- in store sounds kinda of terrible and it will be challenging to convince them to even look at the account, much less basically give me free points. I tried to convince the phone rep to send me some kind of e-mail verifying what I'm saying and saying they agree they should be reinstated, but she wouldn't.
Any ideas?
