Yes but the point is its always better to call and check. Then if the ticket in error shows hand baggage they can get it reissued to correct it. As you acknowledged its better to fix this in advance rather than find out at the airport its an issue.
Totally agree. I called them and its showing w/ baggage on Amex's system. They tried getting through to trade support but weren't able to (tbf they are probably innundated with calls from a lot of people who have bigger issues than baggage allowance so I'll just see what happens tomorrow morning).
