I used to laugh at the discount OLTA hotel listings that included "daily housekeeping" as a feature/amenity of the property and speculate whether their customers usually stay in hostels since AFAIK even Motel6 and similar establishments always did daily housekeeping before COVID-19. Maybe after the pandemic passes, daily housekeeping will become something that distinguishes luxury establishments.
That or it'll become something like WiFi which for a long time establishments like Fairfield Inn were able to offer for free but 'full service' Marriott properties charged $12.95/day. Of course as elites I know most of us receive this free of charge but from a general/non-status member point of view...
