Unfortunately, I am in the same condition.

Before COVID, in my original 12 month first renewal period, I was going to achieve 40000 miles, plus, I would have also achieved 40000 miles in 12+6 months since I qualified for Elite Plus. Now, I need to get 60000 miles in 30 months.

I find this policy bizarre and not customer-friendly.
Periods of 18 and 30 months would be much fairer for members.
