The Bayshore Inn was the Premier Vancover Property 50 years ago and was where you went to flaunt your money. I wouldn't necessarily say that holds true today. I don't see the border opening up to discretionary travel anytime soon unless a very accurate rapid test becomes available. A 72h COVID PVR test, if you can procure one, especially self administered, is of little value and no more than window dressing.
That aside, rates at the Westin Bayshore Inn are something we haven't seen in decades and reflect the current lack of benefits.
