UberEats has been an absolute nightmare. It has been impossible to get anyone to respond with anything other than a boilerplate response. To be honest, I often wonder if I am speaking with a computer. I am still fighting Uber over a food order from July, and they have now put a hold on my account since I initiated a chargeback that AmEx sided with me on. As a long time Uber user since launch, I never expected customer service to fall so far.
This might end up being the most useless credit if I cannot get my hold resolved. I placed a scheduled order for dinner time, and the driver cancelled my order. No one ever contacted me. Instead, UberEats support only parroted that I owed for the food because the order was cancelled more than 5 minutes after being placed. I received this message four separate times, even after I asked for explanation as to why I was charged for the driver cancelling and failing to deliver.
Now, I have asked for dismissal of the "outstanding balance" now that AmEx has sided with me on the chargeback, but I do not have much hope.
