Somewhat off topic, but I'll be at a conference in Grenoble next week, and have not yet figured out where to spend the weekend. I was thinking about Nice (hence somewhat on-topic) as I've never been to southern France, with a side-trip to Monaco (even more on-topic!).

Any thoughts, comments, suggestions on things to see, places to stay/eat??
