ATA has Customer Care Kits that contain a phone card, amenity voucher, comment card and $50 travel voucher in one easy-to-issue package. However, our policy is to not compensate for weather, ATC, or other uncontrollable delays. Sometimes we will, however, if there are clearly extenuating circumstances involved. I can't remember the last time I wrote/issued a hotel voucher, though. I'd much rather come up with a creative way to get our customer home that night unless completely impossible.
