I guess they can't see the effects for the reduced services because the world is not really open for flying yet. Once it's back to normal, I think TK will have to re-evaluate their strategy.

I am fine if airlines adjust their catering to make it more secure/hygienic. But TK has gone from 100% to 0%. I am sure there are different ways of adjusting the catering in a sensible way. For example, if the welcome drink on a tray is deemed unsafe, then don't just kill it, but offer a prepackaged version, glasses covered with a lid, etc.
There are so many other options available than just removing it entirely.
That is of course if TK would be serious about making it more hygienic - and not just cost cutting.
I don't think the majority of people enjoy TK's health approach ( we - FlyerTalkers - are not the minority in this case ) and I have a pretty strong sense that the majority of the people are not obeying the following rules that TK implemented,
- Remain seated until your row has been called for deboarding. ( During my flights, people were waiting at the aisle standing and the cabin crew was trying to seat people down. )
- Only one person in a 3 seat block could remove their masks for eating/drinking at the same time.
And I completely agree that the meal could be improved in the same manner; serving lettuce and chicken slices as a Business Class main course is definitely cost-cutting.
