due to a self-inflicted delay (but a big assist to AS for operating the SEA-IAD flight out of S2, and another assist to Port of Seattle for NOT having any visible signage that the B train stop is closed, other than at the top of the escalators by B11 and A5), I got to the gate at T-8 ... the GA checked to verify there was a seat on the BWI flight, called N16 to tell them I was heading over, said she would take care of the FIM and the reissue, and told me I had 17 minutes to get there (it took maybe 12)
scanned my IAD BP and naturally got three beeps; GA tapped a few keys and said “You’re in 3A”
1D/F were blocked for the FA; there were passengers seated in 1A, 2A/B, 2C/D, 3D, 4B, and 4F ... apparently they will fill F to over 50% in a situation where they can still maintain an empty adjacent seat
(I would have been fine with either 6C or 6D, but I had NOT cleared the upgrade on SEA-IAD which was using a 738)
