There is plenty of talk of how Marriott devalues the Bonvoy program but what about when members devalue the program?
The quoted provision simply defines Marriott's obligation to grant stay credit. So by definition, the guest can't "violate" that provision, the guest just fails to meet the criteria triggering Marriott's obligation to provide stay credit.

People no show all the time and for all kinds of reasons. That does not mean they "violate" T&C 2.1.d. each time they no show. They simply are not entitled to stay credit since they didn't personally stay in the room.
